Dilemmas of Humanity: Pan African Dialogues To Build Socialism
Pan Africanism Today is excited to announce the convening of a Pan African Conference, from the 17th to the 20th of July at the Thuto Centre, in Bela-Bela, South Africa.
Under the banner ‘Dilemmas of Humanity - Pan African Dialogues To Build Socialism’, the conference will gather delegates from peoples’ movements and organisations throughout the African Continent. Collectively, delegates will debate the challenges and opportunities confronting working peoples and our organisations; this will include deliberations on socialist solutions to overcome the current dilemmas facing humanity.
We look forward to active participation from: the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA), Abahlali Basemjondolo (ABM), the Socialist Party of Zambia (SP), the Socialist Movement of Ghana (SMG), Workers’ Democratic Way from Morocco (WDW), Mtandao wa Vikundi vya Wakulima from Tanzania (MVIWATA), and many more.
For the first time in many years, trade unions, political parties, peasant organisations and social movements will meet, exchange experiences, develop a common analysis; and agree on common lines of work.
In a world which continues to experience rolling crises and various social ills - from health to education, housing, food, work, and much more - we are confident this meeting and the commitments made by 200 delegates from close to 40 organisations in 17 countries will be a key step in addressing and resolving the problems that confront humanity.
We invite the media to report on the public aspects of the conference.
